Settha Farm … takes consumer health into consideration

Settha Farm was founded in 2013 through a passion for the production of healthy goods, something which is becoming increasingly popular with the Lao people. Settha Farm Managing Director Mr. Bouanvieng Phetthalanekham recently gave an interview with Target magazine and explained that:

“Settha Farm is an organic vegetable cultivation center which is currently gaining huge popularity. We started off growing hydroponic lettuce using a continuous flow system, which is gaining popularity with organic farming groups because it’s easy to operate and can be done throughout all seasons. Settha Farm now has eight different hydroponic vegetables – organic vegetables grown naturally using an aeroponics system – mint, coriander, spring onions, mustard, carrots, celery, beans, and cucumber. We also have over a thousand fruit trees of nine different varieties, over a thousand lemon trees, and coconuts and other fruits over an area of 42 hectares in Phoukham village, Xaythany district, Vientiane Capital. This cost an investment of 5 billion kip and close assistance was received from specialists from the Planting Promotion Department of the Ministry of Agriculture. We have 45 employees watching closely over each stage of production and in a single month, Settha Farm can produce 1,000 kilos of hydroponic lettuce and 500 kilos of organic vegetables, generating an income of 100 million kip. Our customers are restaurants, hotels, civil servants, businesspeople, embassies, and other organizations, amounting to 35 in number, and we are currently expanding our marketing according to customer orders. If you are interested in Settha Farm’s products, we are happy to deliver to your doorstep because “Settha Farm takes care of all its customers”.

Especially to prepare for the AEC at the end of the year, Settha Farm is in the process of improving our production and expanding all parts of our business so that we may be strong and able to negotiate and compete internationally. We have attended seminars to exchange lessons learned on marketing aimed at building customer trust in the quality of our production process and customer satisfaction in our services, which are focused on developing organic goods and green vegetables so that we may expand and meet standards. We are currently around 70% ready and are coordinating with the State sector in the supply chain and the creation of agricultural and environmentally friendly tourism.”
